Description

Looking for fun, adventure and making a positive contribution to your community?
Scouts actively engages and supports young people (from 4 to 25) in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. In partnership with adults (18 onwards), young people take part in a vast range of fun indoor and outdoor activities. They learn by doing, by sharing in spiritual reflection and by taking responsibility. They make choices, undertake new and challenging activities, and they live their Scout Promise.
All are welcome: all genders; all ethnicities; all faiths and none; special needs or not; previous experience or not. Some will plan and undertake adventurous expeditions; some will enjoy a social group and not leave the Winchester area. We believe in “youth shaped”.

Opportunity for students:
• Membership of a Student Scout and Guide Organisation (SSAGO)
• Membership of Scout Network in the Winchester District
• Adult leadership and other support roles with local scouting
All of these provide access to completing Duke of Edinburgh Awards, Queen’s Scout Award, Explorer Belt and Scout of the World awards.
