About Us

Want to volunteer but don’t know where? Or how?! Winchester Hub was set up to support university students to volunteer, learn about social and/or environmental challenges in Winchester, and connect with each other to make change!

No previous experience is required! Only enthusiasm and passion. Training is provided throughout and it is a great way to boost your experience and develop your skills.

All expenses are reimbursed. We make sure that you aren’t out of pocket because you like to give back!

We encourage an inclusive safe environment. You can read our safe space policy on our website.

We are here to support you! For additional support or questions, contact hello@winchesterhub.org to chat!

Opportunity details

We offer a range of volunteering opportunities that aim to tackle a range of social and/or environmental issues.

Interested in tackling educational disadvantage? Or teaching? Check out our tutoring programme Schools Plus.

Do you like theatre and the arts? Youth Theatre helps get local children into the arts through drama workshops.

Learn a new skill at Woolly Matters and knit for social causes! For example, knitting scarves for our local homeless shelter.

Can’t volunteer regularly? Sign up to Give it a Go and help out at one-off events!

Finally, build your CV through the Social Innovation Programme! For six-weeks, work in teams to research and find solutions to real-life challenges that local organisations are facing!
