Welcome to the University of Winchester's KPOP society!

So happy we get another semester together!
You can find us on Wednesday from 1pm-3pm in Paul Chamberlain 1 for our Dance Sessions and on Thursdays from 6pm-8pm in SAB202 for our Chill Chatty Sessions!
Join our Discord if you are interested in joining as this is our main form of communication with our wonderful members.
If you are interested in becoming a committee member (particularly first years we would love your interest) get in contact with either the Chair or Vice-Chair to find out more and we will support you in working your way into these roles!
Why join us?
We are a group of fans who wish to share our love and teach other people about our favourite songs, groups, Korean dramas and more. We are inclusive and want everyone to feel as though they can talk about their favourite artists and what they love about Korean music.
We’ll be talking about artists such as BTS, Blackpink, GOT7, ATEEZ, Twice, Zico, Dean, Jay Park and more! These are only a few of our favourites! We’re always open and interested in learning about new groups or artists.
What we plan to do:
Our intention for this year is to play Kpop games, such as a guess the idol, mafia, quiz nights, random dance plays, as well as Korean traditional activities. We also wish to get together and watch the latest videos of our idols, live concerts, and much more! Please let us know any other games or ideas that you might have, we’d love your suggestions.
Hopefully we will be able to attend Kpop club nights, link with other university Kpop societies for activities, karaoke, Korean BBQ, museum expositions, and society nights out! This all depends on the current circumstances.

Get in touch with us! Drop us an email so you can visit us, and after a tester session, you can decide if this society is right for you or not. All that will be left to do is join through this website!

MEMBERSHIP T&Cs
Where an activity group (sports team/society/representational network) has a competitive element or other external factors that affect the number of participants, your membership may be subject to criteria other than joining the group via this website. If this results in your membership not being able to be accepted, you will be informed (with any relevant details) and your membership will be refunded.
Membership will not normally be refunded if you cease being a student, if you voluntarily end your membership, or if you are subject to disciplinary action that removes your membership status.
CODE OF CONDUCT
By joining this activity group you are confirming your compliance with Student Union policies and bye-laws, particularly as it pertains to conduct, personal safety and acceptable behaviour.
Initiations: At no point should you feel pressured to drink and get involved in what others are doing, for example to join in with drinking games or ‘challenges’, if you don’t want to. If you are part of an activity group it is completely your choice whether or not you attend a social event. Activity groups are prohibited from carrying out initiation ceremonies, or any initiation-type behaviour, either on or off campus. If you ever feel pressured to take part in social activities as part of an activity group, we would strongly encourage you to report it to us here: https://www.winchesterstudents.co.uk/report It is our upmost priority that you feel safe engaging in Union activity, and there is support available for you if you have experienced or witnessed anything that made you feel uncomfortable or concerned you.
