Many thanks for expressing an interest in working for Winchester Students' Union as our Activities Coordinator. At WinchSU, creating opportunities for students to connect, participate and thrive through extracurricular activities is central to everything we do, and our new role of Activities Coordinator is key to making that happen.

The Activities Coordinator plays an important role in supporting sports, societies and representational networks across Winchester Students’ Union. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration and development of activity groups, supporting student leaders, and helping to ensure students have access to a wide range of engaging and inclusive opportunities across campus. The role also supports the delivery of key Union events throughout the year, including Freshers’ Fayre, Varsity and Winton. Working closely with the Activities Manager, elected Officers, student leaders and external partners, you will help activity groups operate effectively and safely, providing support with memberships, communications, training, risk assessments and event support. You will also play a key role in monitoring participation, maintaining strong administrative systems and helping to develop new opportunities that enhance student engagement across the Union.

You will be organised, proactive and confident managing a varied workload in a busy student-led environment. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail and a genuine passion for student activities and engagement. Experience in administration and student/stakeholder engagement would be valuable, but most importantly we are looking for someone enthusiastic about helping students build communities, develop skills and make the most of their university experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who cares about student experience and wants to make a meaningful impact within a vibrant Students’ Union. If you are motivated by supporting others, enabling student-led opportunities and helping create an outstanding extracurricular experience, we would love to hear from you.
