Student Senate Representatives, alongside your elected Student Officers, form Winchester Student Union's Student Senate, a group that works to ensure that students' views and needs are represented and acted upon, through the work of the Union and its officers.
Student Senate Representatives are elected via a cross-campus ballot to represent a specific demographic of student, to ensure that the Student Union has a breadth and depth of view to inform our activity.
Although Student Senate as group only sits three time per annum, these meetings are the main policy setting forum of the Union and serve to receive and act upon information from all Zones of the Union.

Invitation to ALL students: Zone meetings
We would also like to take this opportunity warmly invite all students to the open Zone meetings that we are running next week. These are an opportunity for students to find out about what kind of things the Student Union are doing in the four zones – Activities, Education, Welfare and Services. They also offer an opportunity to provide feedback on various different campaigns, recommendations, initiatives and other essential information to Student Senate meetings.
The Zones are made up of various different memberships, including Student Union Sabbatical Officers, Part-Time Officers, elected Students and serves as an Open Committee, meaning any member of the Union can attend, so we would very much value all student input at these meetings.
