Saving work from an e-mail and 24h Library

With deadlines looming we hope that students are finding the balance between work and play whilst in the first semester. Just a few tips to make sure that studying goes smoothly as we all know that sinking feeling when you lose part of your essay or project due to technology or the library is closing before you have a chance to finish your work.

Therefore, please be aware that if you open up a piece of work from an e-mail, continue to work on it and then press save, any changes you have made will be lost! To avoid losing work, ensure you have saved the attachment to your documents or a memory stick in a new name.

Also, Tom Lowe the Vice President of Education has secured the return on the 24 hour library in semester 1, weeks 11 and 12, Monday to Friday! The 24 hour library will also return in semester 2 for upcoming dissertation deadlines.

If you have any queries or worries about work please do not hesitate to contact student services who offer a variety of help from spelling and grammar workshops, to managing stress. Alternatively come and speak to one of the exec officers or Tom Lowe, Vice President of Education, if you have any issues regarding your course or work schedule.

In the meantime, remember to take breaks from working, assignments don’t mean you can’t enjoy what else is going on around the university. Plan your days efficiently and Good Luck!
