Fresher's Fayre!
Oh hi again! Enjoying your amazing University of Winchester experience so far? Glad to hear it! So you've probably finished all your enrolment process, seen your course timetable, experienced the night life (whilst drinking responsibly I'm sure!), and can't wait to see what the rest of the week holds for you.
WELL after this week's BOP, Karaoke session, and Flirt! there is only one other event worth seeing.... FRESHER'S FAYRE.
I’ll start off with 2 words: Free. Pizza. That’s right, Dominos Pizza is infamous for their stall at Fresher’s Fayre, handing out free pizza to everyone that attends!! If that hasn’t peaked your excitement (not sure why it wouldn’t have…) then wait until you see the rest of the stalls available!
Every single sport club and society graces the SU with their presence, letting you lovely lot see what extra-curricular activities are available to you. From football to dance squad, archaeology to pole dancing, radio to debate – I definitely think we have the widest range of sports and societies at UoW! So feel free to wander around (with your free pizza in hand) and chat with the members at the stalls that strike your interest. University is really the place to step outside of your comfort zone so take that leap and try something you never dreamed you’d try out! Go on, I dare you!
Okay before I end up terrifying you with my enthusiasm (sorry!) I’ll say one last thing before I bid you adieu – ask any Winch graduate and I’m sure they’ll tell you that Winchester is where they spent the best years of their lives, but you only get out of University what you put in. So join all the sports team and societies! Go to every single event in Fresher’s week! Make friends with all the beautiful executive officers (proof below)! And most of all enjoy your time here at The University of Winchester!
