You’re at the start of your Coffee House tour at the moment – how’s it all going? Do you enjoy life on the road?

It’s going well; I am really enjoying it although I do prefer evening gigs. I went to music college and I have played seriously ever since and never looked back.

You had success in Japan when you and one of your songs featured in Smart car’s TV commercial. How would you describe that experience?

It was a really interesting experience. I was in a 6 piece band in Japan, and the song made it into the charts and was played regularly on the radio. I prefer playing in a band because there is more fluidity.

Where do you draw your main inspiration for writing your songs?

I only listen to old music; I look back at music from before 1979 for inspiration because I love the feel of old music, its more genuine.

How long have you been making music for? Did you always want this career?

Yes it has always been something I have wanted to do, I have been playing for 15years and I would love to do this for the rest of my life. I have a part-time job at Sony and I have helped write Peter Andres album, who is a very charming man and passionate for life. Not creating music isn’t even a question it is something I will always want to be a part of.

What musicians influenced you growing up?

Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, Jimi Hendrix; you can’t beat those idols. I hardly get any time to listen to other people’s music anymore because I am always listening and analysing mine.

What have you got planned for the next year?

A lot of promotional work around the release of my EP, “I’m a dreamer”. Which I hope will lead into doing my own tour very soon.
