Just a quick update for you…before the full lowdown in my next blog in September where you will get full information on all the activities term 1 has to offer…however enjoy whats written so far!

...I played Badminton for the first time ever! It seems to have become office tradition on a Monday lunch now to don trainers and take to the courts. Up until now I’ve managed to schedule in ‘very important lunch meetings’ but since Seb had to be elsewhere (copying my previous behaviour and avoiding the embarrassment I think) it meant I was roped in to make up the numbers.

Hey guys, my name is Jonny and I am your Participation and Volunteering officer for this year! First let me say a biiiiig hello to all you second, third and fourth years returning to us and you Freshers heading our way in September. Me and the Exec team are currently very busy ensuring Freshers fortnight and the rest of the year is bigger and better than anything you’ve seen before! Well, this is my first blog ever so please be understanding about its quality. I thought I’d start with a few thoughts on what has gone before and what is still to come in the wonderful world of Academia.
