Post suitable for: Current/prosepctive students of the University of Winchester only; Winchester Student Union is currently seeking enthusiastic, approachable and hardworking students, to join the team responsible for venue safety and security.
Role: “To form part of the Winchester Student Union Venue Team and work alongside bar, security and Venue Managers to deliver excellent customer service and to ensure the efficient running of Student Union Events. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, greeting customers to the Student Union on entry to an event, ensuring customer safety, deal with spillages and /or hazardous material, glass collection, liaising with all members of the Venue Team, setting up and setting down events, and helping to create a friendly, welcoming and enjoyable environment for customers and staff. This role requires staff members to work predominately during the evening, as well as the occasional day shift, and therefore will involve late nights, working in a busy, fast paced environment.”

Selection will be based upon a brief interview with the line manager of the department you are applying for, alongside at least one other panel member. If you have been selected for interview we will contact you directly by the telephone number supplied. Interviews will be conducted by Telephone or in person if convenient for you to attend our offices. If you are not contacted within 2 working days of the application deadline, you have unfortunately not been shortlisted for the post.
