Description

 

'From the books into real life, Quidditch is a complex but extremely rewarding alternative sport. Whether you’re a dedicated athlete looking for a challenge, a casual player looking for something fun and interesting, or simply a Harry Potter fan, we strive to make your university experience that much better. It is a mixed-gender sport, meaning it's friendly to transgender people who may have difficulty joining other sports. We compete in regional, national and international competitions with the Southsea Quidditch Club, playing against and befriending all the university and community teams we meet along the way. We have a friendly team that welcomes newcomers with open arms, whatever your experience and level of fitness! 

Our training sessions are twice a week, every Wednesday and Saturday from 2 pm – 4 pm, and they take place at Cromwell Park, but a member of our team will always be happy to walk you there if you don't know the way!
We also hold regular socials that can range from trips out to places like escape rooms, to gaming, to simply going down the pub. We try to cater to all our members' tastes!

Where a sport or society has a competitive element or other external factors that affect the number of participants, your membership may be subject to criteria other than joining the group via this website. If this results in your membership not being able to accepted, you will be informed (with any relevant details) and your membership will be refunded.

 

Membership will not normally be refunded if you cease being a student, voluntarily end your membership or you are subject to disciplinary action that removes your membership status.
