We offer opportunities for students to get involved and develop their university experience beyond the academic, whilst have fun and potentially building up your CV to give you that distinctive edge.
From sports teams and pastimes to volunteering or standing for student government, participation is at the top of our agenda.

Your Student Activity Card (SA Card):
...is required to join a club or society. It is compulsory for participating in a Union activity. Cards are valid for the entire duration of your time at the University, no matter how many clubs or societies you join.
You can get your card from the Student Union’s reception (level 3, The University Centre) between 10am-4pm weekdays.
Starting up a Club or Society
Passionate about a particular sport or interest you think other students may also want to partake in? Then maybe you can setup a new activity, club, or society!
We’ve listed the basic criteria and instructions (see below for a file for download).
The Union supports affiliated groups with funding, training, and facilities following an approval process.
