13th March 2008: The NUS has announced that former Winchester Student Union President Katie Curtis has been elected Women's Officer for the NUS for 2008-09.
The announcement was made following this week's National Union of Students (NUS) Women's campaign Conference in Coventry.
Katie was elected President for 2006-07 of Winchester Student Union and also served previously as our Academic Affairs Officer - part of the dedicated team of Executive Officers that forms the decision making Committee running the organisation.* Katie has also served as an elected officer also as a member of the NUS mature students' committee and the LGBT officer for the SEANUS (South East Area National Union of Students (UK)) area committee.
