Standard references are a personalised one page letter-headed sheet giving an overview of the role of reps listing skills likely to have been built and necessary for carrying out the role effectively. These are signed by myself as the Rep co-ordinator, and by the Student Union President. To request one please E-mail SUstar@winchester.ac.uk or phone, visit, or leave a message in my pigeonhole. We check for each request with the university subject team to confirm their agreement that you have carried out the duties reliably.
Please say how long you have been a rep, and for which subject(s). Ideally I would like to issue all of those produced to you in person, or to faculty student pigeonholes - but please supply an address to send to in case you cannot collect yours.
We hope that this may be useful, particularly for final year's, but also for others who have represented their cohorts - for backing up this extra work you've done for students that can be difficult at times - even if it's just to file - as it will remind of some likely skills we believe you may have built up.
If you'd like to see a copy example reference, or want to know more - of if you just want to discuss any aspect of "repping" - then please contact me or the SU's Academic Affairs officer.
