StAR: Student Academic Representation
StAR: What is it?
... It's the Student Voice through Student Representatives.
It's the great system where students and staff work together. If at any point in the year your subject needs rep(s) then please contact the SU or see the university's staff to express your interest in volunteering. If your rep cannot attend the meeting held each term then please ask if you can go instead!Being a rep is a great feeling and though it's voluntary it is an important role, and it might just be the start for you of representing students at more senior levels. Every student is represented in university decisions by students elected each year by students themselves. The University welcomes student feedback and input and Winchester Student Union supports all reps. It's a great opportunity for students so it's important to... keep in touch with your reps! Student reps become full members of the committee that makes decisions on the running of your course (your Academic Programme/Subject/or Field committee that meets at least termly). Students have representation at all levels within our learning community - see below for links to your representatives at senior levels.
