Student Development Officer

The Student Development Officer shall:

• Assist the VPAS on issues regarding clubs and societies at Winchester
Student Union.
• Promote active citizenship in the local community through volunteering and
community work.
• Actively promote the development and expansion of clubs and societies at
Winchester Student Union.
• Focus on the living and learning experience of all at Winchester Student
Union, promoting extra curricular development.
• Attend all club and societies Annual General Meetings.
• Ensure clubs and societies have a profile at all student induction events.
• Assist clubs and societies in their administration with external bodies where
necessary.
• Keep up to date with developments in the field of Student Development to
ensure a contemporary knowledge specific to this area.
• Be responsible for actively campaigning on a local and national level on
student development issues specific to Winchester Student Union or
instigated by other affiliated and relevant organisations.
