“Freshers Fortnight was a great chance to meet new people, make great friends and start a really cool journey”
Bill Richards, 3rd year Drama Student
When you first arrive at the University of Winchester, it can be a bit of a daunting experience. You will have been sent loads and loads of information about enrolling and joining instructions for your course, plus information about your accomodation and finances… It can all be just a little bit intimidating. But fret not. It’s normally not nearly as complicated as it seems, and even if you do have a gazillion questions when you get here, there are loads of staff and students around to help you settle right in.
Here at the Student Union we concentrate on ensuring that your extra curricular needs are catered for - providing opportunities beyond your academic studies; networking, entertainments and highlighting what Winchester has to offer. We obviously also like to highlight our fantastic venues and services too!
Freshers Fortnight is essentially a fortnight where we go all out to make sure that your first few days here are a real experience and that you fall in love with Winchester as much as we all have. It’s several days of the best entertainment, friendliest faces, most exciting workshops, and thrilling activities that the University of Winchester has to offer.
Don’t panic though, whilst we may not be able to keep up the frantic pace of Fresher’s (we’d never get any sleep), we do promise to do our our best to make your Winchester experience truly memorable all year round.
