Considering joining Women’s Rugby?

Rugby is a sport that any girl would run away from at first thought! However, we ask you to come and try a new sport that you perhaps have not considered before! Challenge yourself, become part of a wonderful and exciting team! We start from the very beginning so don’t panic if you’ve never played before. 97% of our team had never even held an odd shaped ball before they’d joined uni and now they’re confident on the pitch and loving the game…

As a team we come together as one big rugby family.  We can rely on each other for support, friendship and most importantly a good drunken night out.. dressed in some kind of ridiculous attire. We come in all shapes and sizes, personalities and backgrounds.  A good quality about women’s rugby is that we’re all individuals and every new member is given their own unique nickname! In terms of competing, there are no trials and everyone gets a chance to play for the team!

Joining any sports team is so important for every university student to get their full university experience! The sport, the banter, the socials…the memories.. and not to forget the 1000s of photo’s you don’t even remember being taken! Any student will recommend it or tell you how they regret that they haven’t! But its never too late! So please please please don’t let the idea of joining women’s rubgy go over your head, because its an opportunity not to miss!
