Welcome
At the University of Winchester the basketball team is named the Winchester Knights. The Winchester Knights consists of a first and second team, with each team having a squad of between 10-15 members. However do not let this put you off, anyone is welcome to play wherever just starting off or with many years of experience.
Both teams enter the same BUCS league, and have roughly around 10 games on Wednesdays throughout the year. For the first time this year the team will enter the Southampton Solent League which will add an extra 20+ games and will also allow selected members to play with a wider range of players.
This year we will have around 3-4 training sessions a week with an extra one for individuals invited to play in the Solent team. The second team will have a coach helping to build and further develop the team.
So come and see us at freshers fayre. You wont be able to miss us and from here your be able to gain infomation about the team and the trials that will follow that week.

Hopefully we will see lots of you there no matter if you have played before or are an experienced player. The most important characteristic of a Winchester Knight is working hard. People will vary in skill levels but the players that stand out and gain the greatest recognition are the players that dont stop hustling.
