Charidee begins at home right?

For those that aren’t in the loop, the university and several other businesses/institutes across Hampshire took part in a project called the Hampshire Millenium Project last year and managed to collectively raise enough money to build a classroom in Gambia for the children there. This project follows on from this and we are now hoping to raise £20,000 to renovate two classrooms at Soma School and enhance facilities for girls studying at Tahir School in The Gambia.

The OTHER news is that we will still run our own campaigns and will be focussing on a few every term so if you have ANY suggestions for this then please email me krissy.ball@winchester.ac.uk with ‘Campaign’ in the subject bar. This will then be opened as a voting system when term begins (and when the website is updated enough!) It would just be a helpful for me to know now what sort of things you want me to look into for you, which incidentally is why I’m giving you guys free reign to tell me what YOU want your campaigns to be about. ANY idea is open to discussion!!

Lastly, and the MOST IMPORTANT BIT OF NEWS EVER EVER EVER, I get a few days off work from the end of today- yippee! xxx
