So since I last blogged (this is a new thing to me so bare with me as I try and update from the SU office!) plenty has gone on behind the scenes…

Planning is well and truely in full swing as it’s only a few months away until all the students return to Winchester or start for the first time, and this year it’s going to be a big one!!!

So whats happened over the last 3 weeks…

Well in the office Winton and Varsity have been confirmed…planning is always ongoing with these events however all looks good for two of the biggest events of the sporting year!

A review for the 2009/10 academic year sporting achievements and developments has nearly reached it’s completion, the final report will be published in late September / early October 2010.

I test drove our new minibus which will be in operation at the start of term - EPIC!!! A fantastic drive and so many fun toys to play with! I also test drove a van we are also purchasing which was also a great drive!

Tomorrow (Thursday 29th) Seb, Krissy and myself will be going over the student media at the Student Union planning out the aims and objectives for the year to get the radio and magazine up and running!

Friday is a huge day…TOUR will be discussed and hopefully a decision will be made on where Winchester Student Union will be touring over the Easter holidays…all will be revealed in September!!!

It’s hard to explain on here how much is being done for the year ahead in a exciting way…what has been planned and will be planned over the next few months is very exciting and for your benefit however mostly admin and planning and it wont be noticed till it all kicks off…

Next week I go to Loughbough to learn about Driving Membership Participation with NUS… Next update will most likely be in September, don’t worry though I will have plenty more to say then, including a lowdown on what activities term 1 will be providing for all students in Winchester…
