What a time! I’m sure many of you will have been enjoying the feeling of independence and University life, whether for the first or last time. This is a quick blog post by your President to give a little update on how the wonderful Fresher’s Fortnight is going.
Below is a nice picture of the excellent group of student helpers who have assembled to make your arrival (or return) here as smooth as it can be. Some of them you will recognise by sight now; orange for Fresher’s Crew, green for your Executive Officers, blue for International Helpers, etc. One thing you can be certain of is that we are all here to help you in any way we can.
Every kind of shirt & colour here to help you!
I guess the first question to ask all of you is ‘have you been to any SU events yet?’ Or, I hope, ‘how many SU events have you been to!?’. As you should all know by now there are loads of events going on at your Student Union this fortnight and well beyond. Attending our events has many benefits; a safe location, competitive pricing for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as of course some great themed nights out!
For a quick list of some upcoming events, look no further:
As ever, don’t forget to arrive early to avoid disappointment and ensure you bring your Student ID and acceptable Age ID to achieve entry into the event. Needless to say, myself and the rest of the team can’t wait to see you all soon!
Gearing up for the 1st BOP of the semester!
