Body Gossip is a campaign designed to promote positive body image and following the success of last year's event, is being launched again for a 2014 performance on both March 4th and 6th in The Vault.
Last year we asked students and members of the university to send us ideas and pieces to be presented on the night. The same idea is being run this year, so before the shows can go ahead we need your help!
We are looking for poems, monologues, short stories, raps, songs, dances expressing body issues or experiences. You don’t need to have any experience in the above, just a passion to get your piece of body gossip across to an audience! We would love to get a mixture of pieces sent in to make the performance varied with a good balance of serious and light hearted accounts. Topics written about last year included experiences and issues revolving around being tall, small, PMS, muscles, being quiet, having large breasts and eating disorders.
If you don’t feel like exercising your creative streak, we'd love to hear from you if you are interested in getting involved in another way such as acting, promotion or tech team.
